MICHAELA (GAMEL) NEILSON: CLASS OF 1976
E-mail:  mneilson@nbhd.org
I'm married with 3 children and have been living in Florida for the past 25 years or
so.  I earned my Bachelor's in Nursing and worked in an open heart surgery unit for
12 years prior to getting my MBA. I am currently Director of Case Management and
Social Services at a nearby hospital. I heard about this website just today and had a
great time finding pictures of old friends that I haven't seen in years and years (like
Karen Treiger!!! We were best buds!!)  If you are reading this and know Karen,
PLEASE tell her to email me - I'd love to hear from her!

MICHAEL BEHAR: CLASS OF 1978
After graduating from the Seattle Hebrew Academy I attended Yeshivat Or'
Hatsafon.  After graduating from Y.O.H. I spent a year in Israel at Yeshivat Bet-el.
I then attended Yeshiva University in New York where I graduated and then met my
lovely wife Carole.  I was employed as the Clinical Coordinator of three residences
for the largest Jewish Social Service Agency in Brooklyn for ten years before we
made the pivotal decision to move back to Seattle with our growing family.

I now work for the State of Washington supervising the safety and well being of the
children of our state who are relegated to foster care. I live in the Seward Park
neighborhood of Seattle with my wife Carole and our four beautiful children (Avi,
Zev, Salvo and Shoshana).

I would love to hear from SHA friends and classmates, I may be reached via e-mail

EFRAT (GALAZAN) ZHERZHI: CLASS OF 1978
E-mail: effie@jerryallentravel.com
I started at SHA in 1969, in the little school before they moved.  Rabbi Rosenthal
was principal and my uncle, Amiel Galazan, taught there. My clearest memory is
going to school in Mr. Elkin's bus, I think we broke down about 3 times a week. I
even have the yearbooks from some of those years.  My family left Seattle in
1975,we moved to Indiana and from there to Miami, Florida.  I am married for 22
years and have 2 children, Coby 19 and Suzie 14. About 11 years ago we decided to
make aliyah and move to Israel.  We lived there for a year and a half, then decided
to move back to Florida  I have not been back to Seattle since and seeing everyone's
names that I went to school with is amazing. I would love to hear from my
classmates. My email is

ARYEH GREENBERG: CLASS OF 1979
After I graduated from the Seattle Hebrew Academy in 1979 I continued my
education in the SHA basement at Yeshivat Or' Hatzafon (now known as Northwest
Yeshiva High School).  After my graduation from the  High School I attended
Yeshivat Har Etzion ("Gush").  After returning from Israel I attended Yeshiva
University where I continued my studies and research for many years.  While living
in New York I was retained by The Sephardic Congregation of Co-Op City in the
position of Chaham.  I served Co-Op City for many mutually gratifying years.

In January of 2000 I fulfilled a lifelong dream by returning to Seattle and serving
my beloved Congregation Ezra Bessaroth as their Hazzan.  I am also an instructor
at Northwest Yeshiva High School.  Thus I have come full circle, now working at my
former High School, serving as Hazzan at the synagogue where I grew up and living
1/2 block from my childhood home.

My favorite SHA memories are the years I played as the star guard for the SHA
Basketball team.  There was many a game where my speed, agility and precise
shooting turned almost certain defeat into glorious victory.

I would love to hear from my classmates, friends and fellow alumni and I can be
reached at

NAOMI VOSS CLASS OF 1979
I currently live in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia with my husband, Dr.
Michael Potter, and my three children: Ruth (age 11), Shira (age 9), and Daniel (age
6).  My husband is an ophthalmologist who sees patients and does research at the
University of British Columbia.  I work as a database administrator for the Jewish
Federation of Greater Vancouver.  All three of my children attend the Vancouver
Hebrew Academy, which is somewhat like SHA.  Since it only take us three hours to
drive to Seattle, we come down every few months to visit my parents and my brother
(Alex Voss) and his three kids who go to SHA (oh, one of them already graduated.)
