Ezra Bessaroth member and SHA Board member Melissa Rivkin wondered what her
son's school, the Seattle Hebrew Academy, was planning for Veteran's Day this year.
When she found that no observance was planned she contacted Michael Behar, Lea
Hanan and Albert Behar.  Together they planned and organized what was probably the
first such celebration to honor our local Jewish Veterans in SHA  history.

The SHA children packed the auditorium that day to hear moving descriptions of the
brave sacrifice our local Jewish Veterans have made to preserve our freedoms.
